The sky is literally falling as Asteroid M crashes down to create an extinction level event, wiping out all life on Earth and the X-Men are struggling to stop it. But Jean Grey has one last move to make....Phoenix! But what they didn't realize is that the US government wouldn't wait, and they launch a cluster of nuclear missiles right at them! The gravity core is destroyed, and upon its implosion, the team disappears into time, leaving behind a world without the X-Men.
