Being a twin
I am an identical twin. We do not have a disability. My earliest memory of childhood is being taken to kinda and not being allowed to play with my sister. We were allocated children to play with. My sister can remember the name of her allocated playmate. I cannot. We were punished if we played with each other. No one can determine what twins need unless they have experienced being a twin. Luckily mum must have seen this as bad as she insisted we be in the same class for year one. Why do people think they know what is best for you ? Your podcast shows common sense and experience trumps academic literature. I post under my husbands email address but I am a female with an identical twin. She posted the story of arriving at the new school and interacting with the teacher who had 5 very intelligent children which you read out on the latest podcast. Her eldest son could not say grandma so he called his grandmother Mema. All her grandchildren called her that. With reference to swearing and smutty jokes we all told our kids NRFM not recommended for Mema. Maybe you could have a voice over at the start of the podcast NRFN. Not recommended for Nanna. The kids knew the boundaries and never told Mema anything NRFM. It would be a fun way to start the podcast. Would be very funny.

I am so happy to have found this podcast after a fabulous shout out from Crabbe. I love listening to two women who have such joy and heart. I have a lot in common but also so much to learn and understand. The honesty is refreshing and the giggling is infectious. Thank you!
