Refreshing take on a typically tired format
I’m over 50 years old, a woman, a working professional, and a mother of 2 young adults. I was skeptical about this podcast upon first listen because the women are very young and I wasn’t sure I’d find them relatable. Boy, was I wrong! Listening to their take on the “classics” is both eye opening and hilarious. I love both their friendship and repartee with insight which has allowed me to see from the perspective of young people just what we’ve revered in the past all from the vantage point of no prior “grooming” to filmmaking. Simply put, there’s no pretense—only viewing it in our present times. It’s all too easy for a person of my age to say but the times were different then. Of course they were! But isn’t it great to see how far we’ve come? I for one am encouraged by how far we’ve advanced with an understanding that we have raised these young people to know that certain behaviors and old norms are not accepted in today’s culture. I love the way they call these films out in the now. It helps us learn and understand how we’ve grown as a culture. However you may disagree, we are living in present times and moving forward. So much of the Boomer generation is all about living in their past and the “good ol days”. Pfffffffft. As for me, I’m onboard to progress each and every day. Kudos to these intelligent and articulate ladies. Keep doing what you’re doing. We love it! ✌🏼✌🏼

As someone with very little patience and a long list of “films” I feel like I should watch but usually pass up in favor of “movies” - I’m a fan. It’s fun, it’s honest, and it’s ~intellectual~ but in a way that doesn’t make me hate myself for going to college (a rarity in podcasts!)

Love listening to these ladies and love the premise. I’ve wanted to go through these “great” films myself so this has been fun watching the movie and then listening to the episode. Can’t wait for more!!

Hilarious and fun. A new take on the classics that makes them much more exciting to hear about than your average movie review. And must faster than watching a three-hour-long film. Ha! Very funny girls!
