“Hey-I’ve really enjoyed listening to trail tales! My husband and I have been backpacking since we turned 50 and I broke my nose on a fall on our first section hike on the Long trail. (But. We stayed on the trail!)We’ve since thru hiked the NPT and cranberry lake and section hiked some of the AT. Next Spring we are planning our first 500 from Springer Mountain. Retired hiking is the sweetest reward and we are perfectly married for 42 years. I got my new trail name on the NPT because I always bring a lemon and after being offered fresh trout and steak on the trail from some local fisherman , they apologized for no lemon to put on the fish and I presented a fresh lemon for our feat!
