“The research that WI does and his ability to transfer the knowledge is extraordinary. But we’ve know that for a long time from his other work. In this series he really stimulates this by showing the progression of events and the people who triggered them. I would like to see a podcast. (s) on the evolution of banking from the Middle Ages to the electronic banking of today. And the emergence of consumer banking that has driven the consumer society since WW II. the degree of concentration of banking resources in the hands of so few and the expansion of those banks into riskier investment banking would also be fertile ground. WI cannot engage in ‘partisanship’ but the recital of history is neutral. eg, the depression, Glass Segal, the Bank Modernization Act of 1999 & Dodd Frank all shed light on the subject”
