Description
Mathew Ryder is an avid outdoor enthusiast and YouTuber based in Ipswich, UK. Initially a sedentary smoker, Mathew transformed his life at 40, quitting smoking and embracing hiking and bikepacking. He completed the Appalachian Trail in 2019 and later the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route, documenting his journeys on his YouTube channel. Mathew, who works as a support worker for people with learning disabilities, balances his job with his passion for adventure. His channel, co-managed with his friend Ross, who handles the editing, has grown steadily, inspiring many to embark on their own outdoor adventures. Mathew's next big challenge is the TransAmerica Trail, where he plans to document and share his experiences in real-time. He values simplicity and enjoys the connection and community that his YouTube channel fosters. 00:00 The Beginning of the Journey 08:15 From Fitness to Adventure 19:53 Major Adventures 38:26 International Travels 01:00:03 Exploring the UK and Europe 01:09:23 New Ventures and Reflections
