Description
Neil, Randy and KVV are back with another Perfect Club edition of the Trap Draw as we look back at the landmark sports documentary "Hoop Dreams". The film - released 30 years ago - profiles Arthur Agee and William Gates and their journey through Chicago high school basketball. After some self-examination with our own relationships with basketball, we look at the undertaking of the filmmakers and how the project evolved from a planned 30 minute PBS special to the final cut of nearly three hours, why the film resonates three decades after its release, how the culture around high school and college basketball has changed, our favorite scenes from the film and our reflections on the film's impact on the sports documentary genre.
