“This podcast has great potential, however the host stands in the way of the podcast being great. All of the guests have interesting stories and perspectives, however the host does not do a great job of letting the guests tell their story in organized fashion. Chris Styles begins every episode by getting straight to the point of why the guest was brought on. This tactic affects the anticipation of the episode and creates confusion because he is essentially letting them tell their stories backwards. By starting the episodes with the “meat” of the story, Chris constantly interrupts each guest by asking questions throughout the episode that could have been answered if he just allows the guests tell their stories from the beginning.
My recommendation is letting guests tell their stories from their beginning and asking questions along the way that would help with the story telling. Do that and this podcast would improve tremendously. Also, cut out the sound effects, it’s unnecessary and distracting from the stories.”
