Why the cursing?
It’s so strange... the show is usually quite good... but travel is supposed to open your mind and make you more articulate and worldly, perhaps even sophisticated... and yet, these hosts typically sit around and curse like sailors. It’s one thing to get passionate, and throw in foul language for emphasis... but these folk have no issue saying something like “I was in xxx and the lobby was so fxxxxng beautiful...” It doesn’t even make sense even in context. Condé tries to be somewhat sophisticated and the context is really thrown off by the hosts who evidently are too crass to express themselves with any more elevated verbal skills than that of the typical uncouth American traveler, you can usually find disturbing the peace with boisterous vulgarities at any otherwise ideal paradise. The most recent episode was on faith travel... peppered with puerile vulgar f-bombs, that just felt so out of context with the subject of grandeur of certain people’s faith and their practices and travel experiences. Yup, that St Peter’s Cathedral is Fxxx’n cool.... I am no prude and not a member of any faithful flock... but when a sophisticated organization lets its well traveled representatives carry on like sailors on shore leave, it makes one wonder if travel really does improve a person at all, or if for them, Travel is just one more opportunity for a selfie with a caption “this place is the sxxt!”

More reviews of Travelogue
This is one of my favorite podcasts. The topics are interesting, the information useful, and the discussion entertaining. I feel like I'm sitting around on the patio with a group of hip friends. Keep up the good work!Read full review »

I also miss mark and brad! As a woman I appreciate the women who travel podcast, but also value the more general travel content that travelogue brought to the table
