Planning Your Next Trip to New Orleans
I was really surprised, disappointed and somewhat angered by the lack of acknowledgement of African American culture on the New Orleans episode. You can’t talk about the essence and “feel” of a city without mentioning many of the people who brought that to the city. Part of the charm and spirt of New Orleans is rooted in the culture of people of color that was not acknowledged or understood by your guests. Code words of “sketchy”, “urban”, “suburban” is really reprehensible. This show would be so much better if the guests for the topics had actual knowledge beyond the surface of what is popular at the moment and included a more diverse panel.
