“UPDATE: I’m updating this review as new hosts have taken over the podcast and they’re 100x more professional than Mark.
As a Travel Agent, I really want to like this podcast. I love Mark’s stance on using Travel Agents and his advocacy for common sense travel tips. However his attitude of “I’m right and your wrong” just rubs me the wrong way when I’m listening. The most recent episode, regarding Dr. Phil’s episode on the DR, is what made me unsubscribe. I actually agree with Mark that the entire DR “scandal” is blown out of proportion, but to sit there and ask a woman who was assaulted “why didn’t you report?!” And other similar questions falls into victim blaming. It’s true that you can be assaulted anywhere, it is NOT a DR issue, but you have no idea the details or trauma she may have experienced. As an assault survivor myself it just made me sick to my stomach.”
