Compelling historical podcast
A companion piece to the book of the same name, Treason tells the story of Claus Von Stauffenberg, hero of the German resistance. Just as the book did, the podcast places the plot to assassinate Hitler in context: the devastating loss in WWI, the humiliation of Versailles, the chaos of the inter-war years, the rise of the National Socialists, the failed attempts of Chamberlain to negotiate a peace and the beginnings of the evil that became, to quote Andrew Roberts, “the eternal shame of mankind”. Narrated by the author, with an engaging sound design, this podcast will appeal to fans of The Rest is History, American Elections: Wicked Game and the like. Highly recommended.

LOVED this podcast, a super informative look at the plot to kill Hitler in WW2 that I think is good for people who are really into history but also people who have no experience in it. A very relevant story for current times.

Complex material is distilled into compelling stories. Each episode is both dramatic and informative, and with the excellent production values, brings a sense of immediacy and involvement as we listen to the courageous attempts to stop Hitler and his murderous regime.
