Constructive criticism
I still really like this show, but I do hope that constructive criticism can be acknowledged and considered. I love Brent and Travis, and I would like to continue to have Courtney on the show. I like her perspective and her journalistic expertise. However, as several people have said in reviews (some in mean ways, some in a pleading tone), Courtney can come off as a bit too silly and flippant on topics that the other hosts are taking seriously and are trying to remark on. I understand that it is difficult to handle the week-to-week events for these past few years, but my favorite parts of the show are when you all have a well-researched discussion on topics that matter to our society. I think the goofiness can still exist on light-hearted topics, but it feels like a letdown when the discourse is suddenly cutoff with a dismissive remark. We know how hard it is to deal with the news, that’s part of why I listen to this show to help digest it. Finally, I just hope that you all don’t dismiss any review that is negative on Courtney’s part of the show as invalid. Again, I think some are definitely uncalled for and sexist, but not all of them are. I hope for the best for all three of you, and I want to thank you for continuing to make this show.
