With Purana still gathering evidence to support their case, Federal Police, led by Agent Jarrod Ragg, who’d been relentlessly pursuing Tony for some time, made the request to have Tony’s bail revoked. But without the evidence to support their reasoning, Justice Gillard did not revoke bail just yet. Instead, Tony was free to go after his day in court on Friday March the 17th, 2006.  Outside court, he gave Purana Detective Jim Coghlan from the Asset Location Squad, a new mobile number he was using. Tony smiled at Jim as he scrawled the number on his palm. On Monday the 20th of March, 2006, Tony didn’t report for bail at South Melbourne Police station, and his legal team led by Con Helitois, were forced to withdraw from the case.
