Accurate
I’ve read all of Project 2025, and I am a retired public schoolteacher. The episode on education is so accurate. I saw how vouchers steered money away from public schools . In Milwaukee we had voucher schools entice students to enroll with promises of laptops etc only to close after “third Friday” which was the date to record attendance. Public schools were funded based on the attendance on that date. Immediately afterwards, voucher schools would expel special ed students and any discipline problems. Those students would come to my classroom as public schools are open to all. The money however did not follow them. We had voucher schools that closed overnight. Students arrived to find doors padlocked. At the end of marking periods students who were not making progress at voucher schools would show up at my classroom. They were often very far behind academically. Public Education is critical to an informed citizenry. We must become aware of what IS already happening and what is planned.
