Great podcast but feels a bit insular sometimes
Helen is the star. I’m a fan of Catherine too, but as a Jewish person I feel a bit weirded out by her referring to Jews being ‘neurotic’. Maybe don’t joke about that, if you’re not Jewish?! I do like the friends just having a chat vibe, but sometimes, e.g. the latest episode with Joe Reich where they’re talking at full throttle about hooking up with people at Edinburgh situations, my tired brain feels like I’m listening in to a private conversation, with lots of unfamiliar references, that I haven’t been invited to join. I’d love more of the educational stuff - Catherine teaching Helen about the potato famine, things like that. And a tiny bit less talk about the comedian lifestyle at Edinburgh please. And more focus on things the listener can relate to, like dating, relationships, friendships, flatmates (I do enjoy hearing about Helen’s cuddle club with Sunil Patel), mental health etc. I’d also like to hear the recipe for choccy porridge!

I LOVE this show.. have guzzled down about 35 episodes in 3 weeks. Both Helen and Catherine are comic genii who manage to make me guffaw, whilst also offering the occasional lovely bit of insight/ advice! You are both fantastic - never stop being fantastic if you please. Andrew v nice too!
