Christian Ernest Irenic Inquiry
Gavin Ortlund’s work in historical theology and cultural commentary are instructive intellectually, but his commitment to loving his dialogue partners—neighbors and enemies—is the most rare, refreshing, and exemplary feature of his work. He adamantly refuses to slip into demonization, ad hominem, and straw-manning. He listens and learns from those from vastly different persuasions and adds his own words of both peace and insight. Despite the fact that I disagree with Gavin about much, I hope many more will learn from his wisdom, both in the content and manner of his speech.

Gavin brings both clarity and grace as he touches on knotty issues in culture and theology. Thankful for his work which seeks to unite, instead of divide—even amidst a diversity of perspectives—vital work in this age.
