Love this show!
Can’t recommend this show enough for both seasoned D&D players and noobs like myself. It has an exciting and fun plot and the mechanics are easy to follow even if you’ve only got a basic understanding of how the game works. It’s a very small cast, but the DM kills it with so many lovable and interesting NPCs that it feels much larger. Characters develop pretty quickly and quirkily, but never stop evolving and are impossible not to love or love to hate. The cast has great chemistry and have obviously been playing together forever, but don’t frequently make you feel out of the loop with inside jokes and obscure references like a lot of other live action RPG podcasts I’ve tried out in the past. If you consume as many podcasts as I do, you’ll also appreciate how many hours of content they have available and with the first full campaign complete you can easily binge and still have weeks or months of listening. Can’t wait for the next one!

Honestly, it’s so good. I love the style of it, kind of reminds me of some of my home games! Actual plays where you feel right at the table are my favorite, and this one has a vibe to it I can only describe as a “cozy listen”. This is only based on the first few episodes however, and I’m GOING to...Read full review »
