Beautifully composed
I’ve revisited these episodes more than once as I was so drawn in by the conversation. As with anything Tunng does, the approach is sensitive, intelligent and beautifully composed. I love the way the podcast starts with the sounds of the band in light hearted conversation, it becomes gently reassuring and familiar with each episode that is played. Although the subject of death carries an emotional weight and difficultly, Sam and Becky conduct the interviews with such openness and enquiry which really enriches the responses. The interview with AC Grayling is particularly special and addresses so many important points about how we shouldn’t be afraid to confront the subject of death and adopt a more reasoned attitude towards it. The conversations are thought provoking and poignant and somehow carry layers of added depth as the episodes compound.

Such an interesting band, looking to explore and expand their and our experiences and bringing ideas of life and death into the musical sphere. I found track 6 particularly affecting.
