We generally think of the hymn I Need Thee Every Hour as something to help us in time of need or distress. And, rightfully, it does provide comfort as we call on the Jesus. Have you thought of it as simply of time of worship and sensing God's nearness and presence? It was in this manner that Annie Sherwood Hawks felt consumed by the presence of the Lord and penned this hymn.
