James Finley reveals the poetry in the spiritual that that speaks to me. His reflections and time for meditation have helped me access the tender heart within myself, access to which I have struggled to achieve or maintain with my family, friends, and work for several years. It is still in there, and I have hope that this practice overtime can develop a renewed and new habit in me of living out life hidden in and sustained by God in Christ.
