“If I could break up this review by hosts of the episodes, Joanna Robinson would get 5 stars. I originally started listening to the Ringer podcasts after she left Vanity Fair. However, other episode that she doesn’t host range from tone deaf to okay. I just finished the series ‘We Own This City’ so I did decided to listen to the finale recap on this feed. The conversation started with challenging the algorithm that company’s like Netflix use (which I agree with) but ended with the hosts proclaiming that shows made for Gen Z/ Millennial women are garbage. I don’t think the comments were made to be malicious but they were definitely a little tone deaf. I have noticed this on other Ringer podcasts - when there are no women on the panel the dialogue becomes pretty one sided.”
