Street Focus 83: A Conversation With AP Photo Editor Richard Vogel This week I sit down with LA based AP photo editor Richard Vogel, we talk about his career and the many challenges photo journalists face today. Who is Richard Vogel? I currently work as a Photo Editor for the Associated Press in Los Angeles with over 30 years of experience in the photographic industry, I previously worked as a photographer for the AP based in Hanoi, covering news and features throughout Asia. I studied fine art photography at the San Francisco Art Institute and after leaving college I worked in New York for photographers such as Annie Leibovitz and Mary Ellen Mark and worked as a black and white printer for Bruce Gilden.  I live in the San Fernando Valley section of Los Angeles with my wife, two dogs and well I lost count of the cats. My real passion now is shooting on the streets of LA and I try to make it out everyday to shoot something. I hold street shooting seminars working out of the Perfect Exposure Gallery.
