“If you haven’t watched the Expanse and dint know who Wes and Ty are there may still be some enjoyment as 50% of the chat is about movies in general.
Wes’s understanding of the craft is so interesting to walk mere viewers through from writing to a tuning to directing to production etc. So many things that most will have missed but absorbed as part of the good movie/bad movie automatic assessment. Add to that Ty’s more (?) recent experience coming in as a producer for the Story he could-wrote, plus his encyclopaedic knowledges of movies is excellent.
And then the opportunity to rewatch and dissect the Expanse from the start, and glean the challenges, the details, the funny stories, the knowledge of the actors and the motivations of the characters is fantastic. All of this is done while Ty and Wes chug on a cold old as they replace after the daily filming of season 6.”
