Entomologist Anandasankar Ray at the University of California, Riverside discusses odor molecules his lab has identified that hamper the host-seeking behavior of mosquitoes. The research, which paves the way for developing new generations of insect repellents and lures, could help control the spread of deadly mosquito-borne diseases such as malaria, dengue and yellow fever.
