She served 10 years as a volunteer firefighter and EMT. In 2008 she founded a paranormal research and investigation group that helped families who were affected by negative paranormal activity in their homes. She joined MUFON in 2021 and became a Certified Field Investigator in the Iowa chapter and is a member of the Experiencer Resource Team (ERT). Being an experiencer herself, she co-founded the CERO Midwest Experiencer Support group to provide a safe place for experiencers to share their stories and have access to resources and support.
