Mr
I am a practising lawyer so I need to stay up to date with the law. UK Law Weekly is an excellent way to stay informed of legal developments. I am also interested in the study of law. The real value of UK Law Weekly is that Marcus Cleaver goes beyond the decision in the case and considers the wider significance of the case. A very good example is the recent podcast on Mills v Mills where Mr Cleaver explores the prejudicial way some aspects of the law are reported in the mainstream media. He correctly explains the significance this has given that language is a key part in legal discourse and that therefore the prejudicial coverage can have a harmful effect on legal thinking. This is a very good example of how a case should be analysed by lawyers so that we do not fall prey to the same errors and as a result the quality of decision making may hopefully improve.

I have been listening to this podcast since the start of my law degree, during my role as a paralegal and into my studies on the LPC. Marcus’s ability to summarise complicated judgements on every topic is both skilful and very welcome. Thank you Marcus.
