Hezbollah may have risen to have legitimate political power preying on the Lebanese people’s exasperation with both their own corrupt leaders, the US’s intervention, and Israel’s threat — just like Trump rose to power due to Americans’ legitimate protest against inequality and injustice— but let’s be honest, they are just warmongering old men like the others, willing to sacrifice their country to perpetual war for their personal power. Trying to make them into something noble is dishonest and wildly inaccurate.”
