“Laura Shinn host of The Unchained podcast brings on some very credible guests who cover big picture issues that surround virtual currencies.
In an attempt to make technical topics relatable to a non-technical audience Laura Shinn intermittently hits on the brakes, sometime while the guest is in mid sentence to define a technical term. While guests on other non-topical podcasts like epicenter or third web(formally ether review) are free to finish sentences and extrapolate on ideas, laura shinn acts as a kind of referee who steps in whenever a technical term is used. It weirdly at times feels arbitrary and at others self serving. The sacrifice this show makes in order to define technical terms is very often not worth it for me, especially considering that we all have to power to pause the podcast and google. Where the guest was going with that thought, we may never know. Considering the caliber of guests she brings on, I think much would be gained by letting the guest speak more freely and allowing the audience to learn for themselves.”
