Examines the zeitgeist of that brief moment when the Cold War was won, but the 9/11 attacks were nowhere in imagination. With no organizing project, what were our enemies? What couldn’t the military do (for good or bad)? These were the undercurrents of the 90’s, and the thrillers reflected that.”
