Love the premise but…
I LOVE the premise of civil, common ground discussions between both political sides. Seriously, I crave anything that will combat this toxic division of our country. Unfortunately, the execution of this podcast isn’t great. the amount of ads is ridiculous. I’m sure this is a shameless plot to get me to pay but instead it makes we want to tune out. Also the actual discussions with the guests are short and not very in depth. Van puts his own spin on everything the guests say, which in turn puts a little bit of a liberal spin on just about everything the guests say…which kind of defeats the purpose of a common ground podcast.

A deeply religious man attempting to be rational. This podcast should be categorised under “comedy”.
