“Spellbinding! His rich narrative captured what I was never able to explain well to my American friends and family. I spent my college semester abroad (1975) in Haiti studying Haitian history and sociology and also Damballa, Erzulie and other Loa in textbooks. But living there 3 months and then returning to work in a rural hospital for a summer I just came to accept that the spirits, possession, and sans filles were real. With more respect than fear, I would walk widely around the candle at a path intersection. His objective, anthropological assessment will hopefully add credibility for those who have not had a brush with this world. Always great UnFictional series.”
