“All Hallows’ Eve is the eve of All Hallows’ Day, or All Saints Day. The eve, All Hallows’ Eve, like you said celebrates those who’ve passed. It’s origins are meant to honor loved ones who’ve passed on, and in many traditional Christian churches, members attend evening church services and light candles for their loved ones in heaven. The aspect of Halloween y’all are referring to sounds very secular. Did y’all do any research before recording this? A well-rounded podcast researches the topic and discusses it from multiple perspectives. This could’ve been a stronger conviction had you done the research and discussed how the Christian roots of All Hallows’ Eve have been lost in the secular consumerism of Westernized Halloween.
