An informative and considered bystander account
To be fair, if you choose this subject matter to listen to, it is likely to be “a bit trashy”. However I think our host gives a well substantiated and balanced account of what it was to report on this terrible story as it unfolded, as well as looking into what collision of chances meant it ever came about. Even he isn’t proud of every aspect of his handling of the breaking story, but there was a tremendous appetite for it, rightly or wrongly, and he was a frontline journalist trying to meet that demand: doorstepping went with the territory. Warnings are given prior to the especially distasteful parts. The story rattles along at a decent pace, well set out and without the endless repetition some other podcasters fill their episodes with.

More reviews of Unheard
This is awful. The author jumps to conclusions, puts words in people’s mouths. You can see how tabloid gossip stories get written. Give it a miss.

Think I covered it all in the title. Did the producers of this podcast ever try listening to it? I think not. Would love to hear the story when/if they fix the audio. Otherwise the podcast should be removed.

Half this podcast is “unheard” by anyone. What I can hear is interesting, but you’re telling me no one has made cleaning up old audio a job yet? Never needed subtitles for a podcast before.
