An informative and considered bystander account
To be fair, if you choose this subject matter to listen to, it is likely to be “a bit trashy”. However I think our host gives a well substantiated and balanced account of what it was to report on this terrible story as it unfolded, as well as looking into what collision of chances meant it ever came about. Even he isn’t proud of every aspect of his handling of the breaking story, but there was a tremendous appetite for it, rightly or wrongly, and he was a frontline journalist trying to meet that demand: doorstepping went with the territory. Warnings are given prior to the especially distasteful parts. The story rattles along at a decent pace, well set out and without the endless repetition some other podcasters fill their episodes with.

Would’ve given 5 stars but I can’t stand adverts especially half way through . I tend to skip them anyway. Really interesting listening and the historical aspects are astounding ! Keep em coming

The story has great potential, but the audio of the tapes are so difficult to hear! Since the title is all about the tapes, I think it's safe to assume that the terrible audio will continue. I cannot continue to listen.Read full review »

This podcast is terrifying and a tough listen, yet you stick with it for some reason I cannot describe. Humans can be terrible !
