Our uniforms are blue like the sky, and our ties are black like the night And the badges I take anywhere, give me the authority, and a sense of mission. This badge shows the people that I am trustworthy and I’ll always aim for justice. We are honorable, humble and represent the justice of our country, We were the ones who spread blood everywhere. Our exceptional uniforms, we are heroes who will shed our blood to save anyone. But instead, we prefer to sacrifice someone else, without a single excuse. The people who watched me kill them, while they were screaming Someday I’ll pay for those screams, and for that enormous bruise I was recognized, for wearing the tight, elegant suit, that was supposed to show my strength. The flag on my chest representing the pain of the victims I have killed, the victims of state terrorism, and the victims of racism. The victims of segregation, I and my fellow cops have caused. The badges that I have to remind me of when in school I won trophies, Trophies that made everyone clap their hands, congratulating me for such a small prize. My clothes spoke for themselves, they told the stories of the people about the people I killed, Policemen painted their part, the people knew what we have done Got caught red-handed, Got screamed at a million times, BOOM! Those were the sounds I heard when I pointed my gun at their head. While some of them were laying in their bed, we were making others lie on the floor, covered in red. The silence that was heard the days after the tragedy, That silence was the one that pained me the most. Was I silenced, or did I silence them?
