Echolalia
As an autistic adult, listening to the echolalia episode allowed me to see a lot of myself. During a conversation repeating back the last phrase the other person said to me is way to convey that I’m listening and I understand. Nobody sees it as a problem but more of a quirk. With all the misinformation, misunderstanding, and harmful stereotypes about autism out there’d, podcasts like Uniquely Human are very important.
