A deep dive into obscured history - much like Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History in some aspects - that enhances a story everyone already knows and yet doesn’t know at all. This is where I try to go in my college classrooms when I teach about the Salem Witchcraft Trials and any other partially-known stories. Now I have a tool to help. Based on the strength of this first episode, I will certainly assign episodes to my students when the textbooks oversimplify and I don’t have time in a class session to unpack all the nuance.
