As I got into the show, I discovered that one of my dearest college friends also loved it and it was our guilty pleasure to watch and compare notes later since we lived in different time zones. She passed away right after Christmas 2021, and during her treatment, whenever there was an article or special edition magazine about Scandal, I would buy it and send it to her as a treat.
