“i had never heard of Mount Megs but lived for several years near Pennhurst in PA, so i am familiar with institutional horror stories. these were mostly white people who suffered here, so i can only imagine the horrific stories about to be laid out in this podcast. i don’t want to hear them, but i believe it’s important that people do, to understand yet another horror visited on black americans. only this time the most vulnerable- children. awareness is key to making sure it never happens again”
