Unreformed is a moving account, narrrative and iterview, of a time and place, and the culture encapsulated by it, remote and yet so close on both, which permitted the continuance of a horror on young, black children for decades. Shame and disbelief are provoked, especially from the first-hand recollections, like those shared by famed artist Lonnie Holley. Highly recommended. I expect the same from future episodes.

That Lonnie Holley can talk about this horrible period with love still in his voice shows how magical Lonnie is. So glad that even more people will hear his story. He is a wonderful artist and emotive story teller. Once you’ve heard his story check out his powerful music and art.
