“I listen to all kinds of smutty, terrible reporting all day long and I couldn’t get through even 2 episodes of this, for these reasons:
1. Ads every 2 minutes (started feel like I was going crazy?)
2. Calling Katherine a faker when she’s had severe mental health issues since she was 14 years old.
3. The intolerable father who kept calling the kids “my” kids, who made a comment about having to restrain himself from being physically abusive toward Katherine, who was vague and elusive, who never expressed emotion, and described his kids in very cliche terms.
4. Podcaster seems to have unequivocally accepted the family’s narrative but they’re all shady and clearly did the minimum to protect the kids.
5. Overly dramatic music throughout the podcast does not compensate for the total lack of actual investigating or researching.
6. Let’s keep in mind is was Troy’s new wife who reached out about having this podcast done, not Troy himself (red flag).
Missed opportunity to fully explore a fascinating case.”
