“What this podcast is, is so perfectly Canadian. It’s a distillation of campfire nights, a few brews deep, recapping books we sort of read and articles we mostly remember - with one buddy recalling much more but the other pouncing about with sharp additions and blunt truths - stuffed into a podcast.
It’s not slick, it’s earnest. It’s not over-produced, it’s charmingly imperfect. I hope the reviews never prompt them to cut more because the banter and familiarity is what makes it stand apart from the overdone crime podcasts currently choking the “airwaves”.
