Today Clodagh is joined by Shirley who very bravely shares her Unspoken with us.
Shirley grew up in 1970s rural Ireland where at the tender age of 15, she fell pregnant, and as a result, was sent to a Mother and Baby Home. Shirley speaks to Clodagh today about what this experience was like for her, including the shock, the shame, the loneliness, and ultimately the incredible heartbreak of being separated from her much loved baby.
