“I am a LONG TIME listener to the URM podcast because I’ve listening ever since the first year of the podcast. Like many people will tell you, the information in this podcast is absolutely fantastic but for me it’s much deeper than just that.
URM means a great deal to me personally because it got through a very dark period in my life. I spent every waking hour I could on music simply because I loved it but I had no idea how I could ever make music a real career. Especially when I was stuck in an academic graduate program I hated and was told it was impossible and discouraged by family from an early age.
Listening to this podcast and realizing that these professionals felt EXACTLY the same way I do about music and that many of them did transition from other careers gave me hope that I could do the same. For that, I’m forever grateful because I’m finally on my music career path.
