Entitled to a great review
This is the only podcast I have ever binged. I will probably go back and do it at least one more time. Everyone knows people ( men and women) who have grown up with absent fathers. I have sent a link to this podcast to many and keep sending it to more sILY. I know a few absent fathers as well and am suggesting they also listen to the podcast (if they are brave enough). I ask them to try to tolerate the pain of listening to the whole thing and then, if nothing else, create a document with meaning for those they leave behind without ever really facing. Situations are always more complicated, layered and mysterious than suspected. If its too messy to face the truth in the here and now providing a perspective for the posthumous will make it less so for those left empty to sort out themselves.

Everyone has a relationship to their father and this is a fabulous deep dive into Jan’s Dad Character. Highly recommend!

Wow
This podcast is amazing. I’ve cried and laughed so much. I feel seen. My circumstances are a little different, but it hits hard. My favorite so far is the mini episode with Carson’s father. Thank you for saying words I didn’t know I needed to hear.

This podcast is probably unlike anything you’ve ever heard. The story is extremely personal, but the takeaways are universally compelling. Emotional. Thoughtful. I found myself listening, and then thinking about it all day... and I can’t wait to hear what happens in the next episode....Read full review »
