“this is, from start to finish, an astonishing podcast. there was not a weak link in the entire show — from the plot to the dialogue to the soundscaping to the voice acting, this is an incredible production with an emotional ending that felt so deeply earned.
it’s difficult to pick what my favourite part of this show was, but i think how consistently compelling the characters were is probably the part that knocked my socks off the most. people often describe storyworlds as being “lived in”, which is certainly true of mt absalom, but these characters felt so “lived amongst” across the board, without feeling in any way homogenous.

“i am thoroughly enjoying the story, although honestly nothing has really happened yet. but there’s the promise that it will. it’s quirky and funny as well. BUT there’s 3-4 weeks between episodes, which is too long - and then they are only 20 minutes long, which is too short!!”
