Not with a bang, but with a whimper.
What a lack-lustre story. I finished the whole story from beginning to end. Somehow the first season had me wanting to finish the whole story to see what Cylus had in store. But the story decided to focus on things that didn’t further the story, things such as gender identity for no reason other than to be in the story, completely unlikable characters such as the “non binary” Abby or even the main Character Lilly that near the end just forces the story forward in a completely unrealistic way even for a ghost story. All in all, I finished it but was pretty disappointed with the resolution to the whole story. Seemed to have potential, ruined by the authors choice to make these characters absolutely ridiculous in terms of personality and choices they make. All in all 1/5. Could’ve been so much more, but choices were made to shove an agenda in your face instead of a fleshing out a great story.

More reviews of Unwell, a Midwestern Gothic Mystery
The show is slow to the jump, to many personalities with hidden agendas. Another show about a small town yet riddled with gay characters. Also the end talks about occupied land. I think you don’t understand the difference between occupied and conquered.

This is THE narrative podcast for 2019. Subverted my expectations time and time again! Highly recommend. However PLEASE make the sound louder! I wish I could always listen in a silent environment but listening with any noise pollution at all makes the show difficult to hear. Turn it up!

Amazing voice acting, production, and a compelling story and characters. If I had one complaint it was that Wes DOES NOT sound 16.
