Shaggy dog gothic
This podcast upends your expectations consistently. I have no idea where it’s going and that’s one of its pleasures, but sometimes I feel the writers don’t know where it’s going either!! There’s a lack of narrative propulsion but maybe that’s a Midwest thing. 😛 Still, endearing and weird.

While slow, I really love that this podcast is taking the time to develop the characters and the sense of mystery. Most story podcasts I listen to don't really do this. Sound quality and acting is top notch as well, I can tell everyone apart which is not something I can say for every podcast.Read full review »

....but the characters need to be slapped on the regular...OMG. The guy that works at the boarding house is irritating AF, and the main characters mother?
