Loose-limbed, plenty of projectability
Sabermetrics struggles with the perception that there is a steep learning curve to catch up with the rest of the class. And while acronyms and numbers pile up like newspapers in a hoarder's house, the idea of thinking critically about baseball shines through. You don't need to know advanced stats to enjoy this podcast. Actually, you're better served by bringing a general knowledge to the proceedings. Hosts Kevin Goldstein and Jason Parks converse freely on any number of topics, but never to the point where you wish they would press the stop button on the recording. Segments help move the show right along, and other podcasts could learn a thing from the clean recording and functional production used on Up and In. If this is your first interaction with Baseball Prospectus, it's a great gateway to the rest of their print and online products.

If this weren't...Read full review »

Seriously dudes, this is it. Not too over sabermetic for those that are not into it, yet still a great podcast for the smart baseball fan out there. Funny, witty commentary along with no bull**** analysis. I could not recomend this any higher.
