Tom Stuker, World's Most Frequent Flyer

Description
In a normal year, a commercial airline pilot might fly 450,000 miles, might! For my guest today, that’d be nothing, in one month in 2019, he flew 166,000. Tom Stuker runs a car dealership consultancy and travels frequently to meet with his clients worldwide. He’s based in Newark, New Jersey, but travels to Australia and Asia several dozen times per year. This pace has earned him a space in United Airlines’ exclusive status program called Global Services, a tier of loyalty without any published requirements which guarantees the airline will do just about anything you ask of them. Beyond the upgrades and special airport privileges, United and Tom have a special relationship as Tom has flown almost 22 million miles on their planes, and that’s butt-in-seat miles (or BIS, as you’ll hear Tom call it). I spoke with Tom and his friend Jason Divenere, a fellow Global services and multi-million miler on United, during a rare moment when they were both on the ground to hear where Tom is at on his way to breaking 22 million.
